2. I have several cats, will they all use the LitterMaid™ litter box
the same way as their current litter box?
The LitterMaid™ litter box works optimally with up to four cats in average size.
3. Can the cycle-timer be adjusted?
No. Ten minutes is the optimum time required for the "clumps" to be hard enough to be scooped away.
4. Is the LitterMaid™ litter box safe for my cat?
The LitterMaid™ litter box, will not operate until 10 minutes after cat leaves the box. If any cat re-enters the box in less than 10 minutes the sensor will reset the LitterMaid™ litter box to not start for another 10 minutes.

6. Is the LitterMaid™ litter box electrically or battery operated, or both?
With LitterMaid™ litter box , it's your choice. Battery operation requires the use of 8 D-cell batteries. With one cat using a LitterMaid™ litter box, batteries will generally last 2-3 months. Both battery and electrical outlet operation are equally safe.
7. How often does the waste receptacle need to be changed?
This depends on the size and the number of cats you may have in your household. For a household with one cat of average size, the waste receptacle should not need to be changed more frequently than every 5-7 days. Multiple cat households will require more frequent changing of the waste receptacle.
8. Will litter clumps block the motion detector from working?
That's the great thing about LitterMaid™ litter box - there are no litter clumps! Our automated, self-cleaning system clears the litter box after each use so clumps are not allowed to build up. It is possible for litter dust to attach itself to the sensors on the side panels and give a false reading. If this happens, simply wipe the sensors with a clean, soft, dry cloth.

Turn your LitterMaid™ litter box off and unplug it before cleaning. Clean the rake and the box with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
